What is the difference between retainer and contingency search?

The page you requested does not exist. A search for services OR recruitment OR retainer resulted in this page.

The primary difference is the way the search is conducted and the status of the candidates we source.  A retained search adheres to a formal process and targets passive candidates. A contingency search does not adhere to a process and targets active candidates.

What does this mean to you?

A retained search always yields a superior candidate pool; it is recommended for positions that require a scarce skill set or that are highly strategic in nature. A contingency search is recommended for positions that require more of a mainstream skill set.
