Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and re-engineer production code
  • Develop administrative and customer-facing e-commerce applications
  • Write thoroughly tested, well structured, and well written in highest industry standard code
  • Work successfully in a team environment
  • Translate requirements into technical tasks
  • Be committed to learning new web technologies
  • Collaboratively compose and update documentation
  • Communicate with stakeholders and gather requirements

Technical Requirements

  • MUST BE EXCEPTIONALLY PROFICIENT IN PHP 5
  • Minimum of 3 years programming PHP for large-scale projects
  • Strong MySQL database experience
  • Strong knowledge of client-side technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with AJAX techniques
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and design
  • Knowledge of open source frameworks
  • Experience with Apache 2.x server
  • Working knowledge of SVN
  • Working knowledge of Linux

Desired Experience

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field (preferred)
  • Scrum and Agile Software Development methods
  • jQuery
  • E-commerce Extreme Programming (XP)
